Great article/tutorial on designing large backgrounds and implementing them using CSS.
I was looking around for typography inspiration not for a brochure but just for a fun web project. I came across Hyperakt Group, a design agency with some varied and interesting work.
Another great site developed for Oakely UK. Nice use of flash and photographs of there sponsored sports people, from Skateboarders to BMX riders.
Bored of google results or looking at page after page of links trying to find the right one. Then why not try Viewzi. I have been using this the last few days and have found it a great way to search, the news view is great almost like a newspaper with it’s headlines. The video view is great at seeing a whole batch of videos ready to look at the one you want. Why not give Viewzi a go?
As I’m into VW campers I came across this site, very cool flash site and nice to see an html version too!
Take a look at any CSS-based website design gallery, and you’ll see it’s obvious that beautiful interfaces are being designed and developed in amazing quantities. I frequently look to these sites for inspiration and, beyond a nice design and beautiful code, there’s usually something common about these sites: they’re new.
Unfortunately, it’s also common that beautiful interfaces don’t stay beautiful. An interface’s design disintegration can be frustrating to deal with, especially for the designer and developer of that interface; it can be particularly frustrating for the designer and developer who can no longer access the site to fix the issues.
Handy guide to producing great looking buttons using CSS
